Consultants
Rupert Reed
Rupert founded Godliman in 2000, and is a Senior Partner. He spent his early career as Strategy Consultant and then Credit Analyst with the HSBC Group in Hong Kong and Korea, before joining HM Foreign & Commonwealth Office (Diplomatic Service) in 1992. He served in London and the Federal Republic of Yugoslavia as First Secretary Political. In 1998, he joined a leading European Executive Search firm as Consultant in their Financial Services division, covering Private Equity and Asset Management. Since 1999, he has focused exclusively on the Asset Management sector, with particular focus on the Fixed Income sector, Institutional Sales & Client Servicing, and Senior Management positions. He graduated in 1988, with an MA (Hons) in Logic & Metaphysics from St. Andrews University.

Stuart Chilvers
Stuart joined Godliman in 2009 as a Senior Partner, following the merger of Godliman with Gladstone Taylor. Stuart started his career as a headhunter in 1997, working in the Investment Banking and Asset Management sectors. He has focused exclusively on the Asset Management sector since 2000. Stuart founded Gladstone Taylor in 2007, specialising in Institutional Distribution within the Asset Management sector, undertaking a broad range of Senior Management, Institutional Sales & Client Servicing, Consultant & Client Relations, and Client Servicing roles, as well as Equity Portfolio Management and Analysis. He graduated in 1994 with a BA (Hons) in Sociology from Durham University.

James Smith
James joined Godliman in 2006, and is a Partner of the firm. He had previously worked with us for one year as a Researcher in 2004/2005, whilst completing his undergraduate degree. James has particular expertise in Fixed Income and UK Institutional Sales positions. He graduated in 2006 with a BSc (Hons) in Business Management from the University of Surrey.

Sarah Spencer
Sarah joined Godliman in 2009 as a Consultant, following the merger with Gladstone Taylor, where she had worked alongside Stuart Chilvers since June 2008. Prior to that, Sarah had a successful career in PR spanning 12 years, where she managed accounts including; The Football Association, Leeds United FC, Middlesbrough FC, Nestle, BTCellnet, Yorkshire Bank and Nationwide. She has a BA (Hons) in Communication and Cultural Studies from Leeds University.
