How We Do It
Since 2000, we have invested over £500,000 in developing our proprietary knowledge base on the European Asset Management Industry. This now contains over 35,000 records on individuals across all job functions and asset classes, in more than 3500 companies across the EMEA region.
Godliman's Research team ensures our sector intelligence is up to date by collecting information from the asset management press, asset management directories and company web sites. We use this knowledge base to help us systematically identify and then assess potential candidates for our Clients.
The first stage of our Search Process involves Identifying the potential target houses where candidates are likely to be found. We then identify and map out every individual within the relevant product teams in those houses - the "Research Universe".
The second stage involves Assessing the suitability of those individuals through extensive sourcing and confidential referencing of market contacts, including former colleagues and market counterparties. Based on the market Peer Group' s assessment, we then draw up a "Target List" of potential candidates for the role.
Godliman aims to give Clients greater control of the Search Process by offering full transparency of research. This means we show our Clients the full Research Universe as well as the Target List. This allows them to add or remove candidates from the Target List at an early stage of the Search, as well as to benchmark the eventual Short List of candidates against the wider universe of talent.
Finally, we talk to each of the individuals on the Target List, interviewing all those who express an interest in the role, Selecting the most suitable candidates for inclusion on the Short List. We then assist our Clients to expedite the Interview process, facilitating feedback and advising on eventual contract negotiations with the favoured candidate.
