Deborah Bannon appointed as Head of Consultant Relationships & Client Services in APAC for BNY Mellon

Deborah Bannon has been appointed as Asia Pacific Head of Consultant Relationships and Client Services by BNY Mellon Investment Management. She was previously an Executive Director and Investments Business Leader for Mercer Investments (HK) Limited.
Bannon will lead, manage and build relationships with global consulting firms, and this will include consultants dedicated to Asia Pacific markets such as Japan, Australia, Greater China and Korea. Bannon will report to Lindsay Wright who is Head of Distribution and co-Head of BNY Mellon Investment Management, Asia Pacific.
Wright said: “Having come from an asset consulting and asset management background, Deborah has the ability to really understand the challenges faced by today’s investors and provide access to specialist investment expertise to suit their needs. Her experience in working with a wide range of clients including sovereign wealth funds, central banks, pension funds, insurance companies and wealth managers will put her in good stead for her role with BNY Mellon Investment Management. Asia’s institutional landscape is changing; clients are demanding diversity and choice. They are seeking a range of investment solutions across a range of asset classes, and our multi-boutique model means we are well placed to meet this demand”.
