Fleming Leaves Kames – destination unknown

March 27th, 2013

Andrew Fleming has left Kames Capital, where he held the combined roles of Chief Executive and Chief Investment Officer.

Fleming joined Aegon Asset Management in early 2005  as CIO from ABN AMRO Asset Management.   He took on the addition role as CEO nine months later, when Colin McLatchie left the firm, maintining the combined focus as CEO and CIO up until his recent departure,  and overseeing the re-branding of the UK investment division to Kames Capital last year.

Following his departure, Sarah Russell, CEO of Aegon Asset Management (Kames’ parent company), will assume the role of interim CEO at Kames Capital while the search is conducted for Fleming’s replacement.

Stephen Jones, currently co-Head of Fixed Income alongside David Roberts, has been appointed CIO, and will expand his remit to cover all asset classes.

Andrew Fleming’s future destination is not yet known.
