Where We Started
Godliman was founded in September 2000 as a values-driven, research-intensive Executive Search boutique, to provide retained recruitment services to the Asset Management sector. Our first office was in Godliman Street, hence our name. In 2013, as part our continuing expansion, we moved into our Coleman Street premises, offering us double the floor space of our previous office.
Over the last 13 years we have successfully completed more than 150 senior assignments for 17 firms, becoming one of the leading Fund Management Search practices in the City.
In June 2009, we further strengthened our brand with the hiring of Stuart Chilvers and his team from Gladstone Taylor. Stuart brought particular expertise in the buy side sales and distribution area, with a 15 year track record of hiring across Consultant Relations, Institutional and Wholesale Sales and Client Account Management.
In 2013, we concluded a formal association with DAK Associates, a "Top 100" US Executive Search firm based in Philadelphia and New York, focusing on senior hires across Asset Management, Asset Servicing, Brokerage, Insurance and Financial Technology. As well as giving us significantly enhanced ability to conduct international searches, where coverage across the EMEA, North American and Asian markets is required, DAK also allows us to offer local, on the ground expertise to our EMEA-based clients wanting to build out Investment Management and Distribution hubs in the USA.
